RÚBEN SILVA BRANCO
Rúben Silva Branco collaborates at the Economics and Research Department of Banco de Portugal. Before joining the Bank, he served as Chief of Cabinet of the Secretary of State to the Vice Prime Minister, Government of Portugal, working on economic policy and on the supervision of the Portuguese Economic and Financial Assistance Program with the European Commission, International Monetary Fund and European Central Bank.
Rúben has completed his Ph.D. in Economics in 2013, at Nova SBE. He has worked as research assistant, at Católica-Lisbon SBE and Banco de Portugal, and taught Economics in the Political Science & International Relations undergraduate program of Universidade Nova. His research agenda intersects Macroeconomic Policy, Political Economy and International Economics.
Between 2005 and 2007, Rúben practiced management consulting at McKinsey & Company.
